A yearbook has two purposes- it preserves some of
the memories from each year at college and it also
serves as a valuable learning experience for those
of us who work on the book. Each UNR student
pays for the publication of the Artemisia through tuition fees...
however there is little money left for staff salaries. Many students
work long and hard to contribute their photos, art,
stories, etc., not to mention those who actually put it all
together. Thanks to the generosity of our advertisers,
some of the staff does get paid. We would like to express
our appreciation to these businesses from our
community and state and ask that you please patronize
the following:

This is a picture of a television set being turned off.
But it could be one of a television set being turned on.

We're not trying to darken a bright future, but it
could happen if our energy supply is ever depleted.
As an energy supplier, our responsibility is to make
sure this won't happen.

How successful we are depends partly on you:
if you use the present energy supply wisely; and if
you help us find practical ways to use new
energy sources.

We must each do our part if we are to provide
dependable power for future generations. The
next time you reach to turn on the television,
stop and think.

We think you'll see the picture.
